Newly Qualified Accountant – Audit, Accounts & Tax

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join a well‑established boutique practice in Cork. You will gain broad exposure across audit, accounts preparation and tax while working closely with experienced partners and managers to develop your technical expertise and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with and lead audit engagements for SME and owner‑managed business clients.
• Prepare year‑end statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Produce management accounts and financial reports for clients across various sectors.
• Handle corporation tax, income tax and VAT returns for a diverse client base.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to queries promptly.
• Support senior team members on business advisory and compliance projects.
• Ensure all work complies with professional and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA accountant.
• Practice‑trained with experience in audit, accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client‑focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Motivated individual seeking long‑term career progression within a growing practice.
