Nurse – Adult Intellectual Disability Care (Full‑time, 39 hrs)

About the role

KPFA is seeking a compassionate, registered Nurse to join the team at Glebe Lodge in Castleisland. You will provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to adults with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities, supporting them to achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care in line with NMBI professional standards.
• Promote independence and empowerment in daily living activities.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, the Disability Act 2005, health & safety legislation and GDPR.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive support.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support daily administrative tasks using IT systems.

Required profile

• Qualified General, Intellectual Disability or Mental Health Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to maintain annual registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a person‑centred approach.
• Full driver’s licence and willingness to drive Association vehicles.

Required skills

• IT proficiency for routine administrative tasks.
