Nurse Educator – Children’s Services (Rosedale School)

About the role

The Nurse Educator will join the Rosedale School team to plan, implement and coordinate individualized developmental and educational programmes for children with complex needs. Working closely with the Children’s Disability Network Teams, the role ensures that each child’s medical health requirements are fully supported within the school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver tailored educational programmes that address the learning and health needs of children aged 3‑18.
• Collaborate with educators, special‑needs assistants, support workers and families to maximise programme impact.
• Monitor and assess children’s progress, adjusting plans as required.
• Coordinate with the Children’s Disability Network and Family Support Teams to integrate medical care into daily school activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Registered nursing qualification (preferably RNID) and active registration with the NMBI.
• Minimum one year of experience working with children with intellectual disabilities in an educational setting.
• Full clean manual Irish driving licence (Class B).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication.
