Operations Business Partner – Finance

About the role

The Operations Business Partner (Finance) will ensure financial integrity of the manufacturing cost base, acting as a bridge between Finance and Operations to provide accurate costing, analysis and data governance.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the standard costing process, maintaining accurate product costs and aligning BOMs and routings with real operational conditions.
• Deliver monthly performance analysis of material usage, labour efficiency, scrap and waste, translating variances into financial impact and actionable insights.
• Maintain governance over manufacturing master data (part numbers, BOMs, routings, work centres) and implement structured change control.
• Partner with Operations to identify cost‑saving opportunities, support budgeting, forecasting and capacity modelling.
• Improve costing structures and reporting within SAP, driving process optimisation and best practice integration.

Required profile

• Strong finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven standard costing and variance reporting.
• Experience partnering with operational teams and supporting budgeting and scenario modelling.
• Chartered Accountant PQE or qualified in CIMA/CPA.
