About the role

We are seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join a prestigious independent optical practice in the heart of Dublin. The role combines luxury retail with clinical support, ensuring each patient receives a personalised, high‑quality experience from arrival to after‑care.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm, professional and tailored greeting.
• Guide customers through a curated selection of premium eyewear brands, providing styling advice.
• Recommend and explain premium lenses and optical solutions.
• Assist optometrists with pre‑screening, patient preparation and documentation.
• Perform frame collections, fittings, adjustments and post‑sale after‑care to exacting standards.
• Maintain the practice’s immaculate presentation and uphold its reputation for excellence.
• Build lasting relationships with patients through attentive service and attention to detail.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant in a retail or clinical setting.
• Passion for luxury retail and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Polished, professional and approachable demeanor.
• Strong organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of optical products, lenses and frame adjustments.
