Pharmacist – Dispensary & Clinical Services (Connolly Hospital)

About the role

This permanent, whole‑time position supports the delivery of safe, efficient and cost‑effective dispensary and clinical pharmacy services to the wards and departments of Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. Working within the HSE Dublin and North East health region, the pharmacist will play a key role in ensuring optimal medication management for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dispensary services, preparing and supplying medicines to in‑patient wards.
• Deliver clinical pharmacy support, including medication reviews and counselling for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote safe prescribing practices.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy service efficiency.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a valid practising licence in Ireland.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of dispensary operations and clinical pharmacy principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
