Post Primary Teacher – Learning Support

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Post Primary Teacher to join Kennedy College in County Wexford. The successful candidate will deliver curriculum instruction while providing targeted learning support in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons across assigned subject areas for post‑primary students.
• Identify and implement appropriate learning support strategies for students with additional needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and external agencies to promote inclusive education.
• Adhere to professional standards and school policies, including safeguarding and code of conduct.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Experience teaching at post‑primary level, preferably with a focus on learning support.
• Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and curriculum delivery.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and equal opportunity principles.
