Power Stations Operator – Shift Operations

About the role

Join a shift operations team responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant running of a critical thermal power generation asset in the Dublin area. You will gain direct exposure to plant operations, maintenance and outage support while developing technical and operational expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment across shift cycles to ensure safe and efficient running.
• Maintain the plant in line with safety, environmental, commercial and chemical standards.
• Support day‑to‑day shift activities, keep accurate records and report to the Shift Team Leader or Operations Manager.
• Contribute to developing operating procedures, testing protocols and related systems.
• Perform front‑line troubleshooting, fault‑finding and outage maintenance support as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of process or operations experience in an industrial, utilities or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and respond to plant operational data.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns and provide shift cover when needed.

Required skills

• Craft qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Fitting, or relevant CSCS tickets.
• Full Category B driving licence (desirable).
• Experience using maintenance or operations management systems.
