About the role

Ryanair is seeking a PR & Communications Manager to lead media coverage and support business objectives across its 36 operating markets. Based at the Dublin headquarters, you will work closely with senior management and the C‑suite to shape the airline’s public narrative.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a communications strategy that drives high‑quality media coverage in line with Ryanair’s goals.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the PR & Communications team, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are error‑free.
  • Prepare press releases, briefing packs, presentations, media responses and other key press materials.
  • Brief senior management and the C‑suite ahead of media engagements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, tourist boards, airports and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, IT, Operations and other departments to align messaging.
  • Monitor current affairs and industry news to identify PR/Comms opportunities.

Required profile

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism or a related field (in‑house or agency).
  • Strong knowledge of international media landscapes and established mainstream media contacts.
  • Highly organised, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment while juggling multiple projects.
  • Confident presenter with excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong business acumen.
  • Genuine interest in news, current affairs and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Interest in the aviation sector is a plus.
