Pressbrake Operator

About the role
Bareil Limited is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pressbrake Operator in Ireland. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and adjusting pressbrake machines to produce sheet‑metal components that meet precise engineering specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders and measurement specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling and perform machine set‑ups for each job.
- Carry out first‑off checks and in‑process inspections to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot minor issues and ensure consistent production output.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all health‑and‑safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines, minimise waste and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience operating pressbrake machines in a metal‑fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Competence using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, protractors and gauges.
- Strong understanding of sheet‑metal characteristics, bending allowances and basic fabrication processes.
- Commitment to health‑and‑safety practices and good housekeeping standards.
- Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under time constraints.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts or overtime when required.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in metal fabrication or a related trade is an advantage.
