PRN Clinical Dietitian II – Pediatric Diabetes Center

About the role

This PRN position supports the Pediatric Diabetes Center at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, providing expert nutrition care to inpatient and outpatient populations. The role is based in Jacksonville, FL, with shifts Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition therapy, including enteral (TF) and parenteral (TPN) support.
• Develop, implement, and maintain individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide education to patients, families, staff, and community groups on diabetes and nutrition topics.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Contribute to department quality improvement initiatives and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of clinical inpatient nutrition care experience.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) and state dietitian license.
• Preferred certifications: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), and other specialty nutrition credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field (Master’s preferred).
