Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑known public sector institution in Dublin to find a Procurement Specialist. You will join an established team and play a key role in planning procurement activities, improving supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of strategic sourcing, including stakeholder engagement, RFP processes, benchmarking, negotiations, and contract implementation.
• Procure goods and services in line with company policy while driving value for money.
• Engage with key suppliers to negotiate main project contracts on favourable commercial terms.
• Monitor delivery of contracted activities, identify continuous‑improvement opportunities, and maximise value from supplier engagements.
• Develop and deliver reporting metrics for the business.
• Maintain contract administration, including database updates, work‑in‑progress tracking, and independent contract drafting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience within the public sector.
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline.
• Qualification in Public Procurement is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using e‑tendering platforms.
