Production Assistant – Coffee Packing & Fulfilment

About the role

The Coffee Packing & Production Assistant is a key member of the Ponaire roastery team in Newport. You will support daily production, packing, and order fulfilment, ensuring coffee products are prepared, labelled, and dispatched to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and pack customer orders, online sales, wholesale and café deliveries accurately.
• Operate packing equipment safely, assist with grinding, portioning and weighing coffee.
• Maintain production and packing records, monitor stock rotation and inventory.
• Carry out quality checks on packaging, labels, dates and product presentation.
• Keep the production area clean, follow food safety and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement of packing processes and adapt to changing priorities.
