Production Operator

About the role

As a Production Operator within PSC Biotech’s Integrated Production Team (IPT), you will work on a 24/7 shift schedule at client sites, ensuring reliable manufacturing and supply of biotech products. The role combines equipment operation, clean‑room housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment (parts washers, autoclaves, CIP/SIP tanks, Vial Washers, Depyro Tunnel, Debagger, filling machines) using MES/DCS and PLC systems.
• Maintain clean‑room standards, perform housekeeping, and manage material flow with a focus on Lean principles.
• Track and label clean and sterile equipment, manage inventory via Kanban and automated MES, and ensure QC status and expiry dates are recorded.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and perform qualified repairs on process equipment.
• Assist in writing, revising, and rolling out operational procedures and training materials.
• Support continuous improvement through investigations, change control, and Kaizen events.

Required profile

• Willingness to work a 24/7 onsite shift schedule.
• Ability to follow strict SOPs and safety regulations in a clean‑room environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with MES, DCS, and PLC‑based control systems.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Kanban inventory methods.
• Hands‑on operation of equipment such as autoclaves, CIP/SIP systems, Vial Washers, and filling machines.
• Clean‑room cleaning and material handling procedures.
• Preventative maintenance and basic equipment troubleshooting.
