Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead a team of operators and service personnel at BASF's Cork site, ensuring best‑practice operations in a continuous improvement environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shift teams, supervise production personnel and ensure compliance with BASF policies.
• Work with the Day Production Supervisor on process optimisation, troubleshooting and production projects.
• Assist the Production Manager with daily duties, including permit writing and asset effectiveness monitoring.
• Collect and analyse SAP data, support training and development of staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a technical production environment such as refinery, chemical or process manufacturing.
• Degree level 7 in a relevant engineering or science discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering).
• Demonstrated command of English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with EHS topics, including occupational safety, process safety and risk assessments.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• SAP and asset‑effectiveness data handling.
• Understanding of production processes and machinery.
• Team‑leading and supervisory capabilities.
