Project Manager – Food Production Line Solutions

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of bespoke food production line solutions, working closely with Sales, Design and Manufacturing teams. You will be accountable for projects from initial customer engagement through to on‑site installation, commissioning and closure.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of projects from award to customer sign‑off, develop detailed plans, monitor progress and manage budgets.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, present layout concepts, secure approvals and document all communications.
• Produce block layout drawings and specify mechanical and electrical components (conveyors, belts, motors, pneumatics, control systems) and hand over detailed designs to the engineering team.
• Ensure designs comply with food‑industry legislation and hygiene standards, and identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, reduce cost and enhance performance.

Required profile

• Engineer with proven project‑management experience in food processing or industrial automation.
• Comfortable in a customer‑facing environment and able to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Commercially focused with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Required skills

• SolidWorks modelling and drawing production.
• Mechanical design and specification of conveyors, belts, motors and pneumatic systems.
• Electrical design and control‑system specification for food‑production equipment.
