Project Manager – Water

About the role

Mace is seeking experienced Project Managers to join its nationwide water portfolio. You will lead the delivery of water, wastewater, potable water, drainage and related infrastructure projects, working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of project plans from brief through to completion.
• Coordinate design, procurement and technical services.
• Monitor programme schedules, budgets, risks and documentation.
• Ensure quality systems align with Mace’s standards.
• Engage stakeholders and lead project activities.
• Manage consultants, contractors and internal resources.
• Apply safety and net‑zero principles throughout the project lifecycle.
• Update plans and record project changes.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified with experience in construction, engineering or project management.
• Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
• Strong stakeholder, commercial and leadership capability.
• Experience in water, utilities or civil infrastructure with an understanding of sustainability and carbon impacts.
