Projects Director – €40M Portfolio – Ireland

About the role

The Projects Director will own the governance, commercial performance and delivery of a €40 million+ portfolio of capital projects and technical services across the island of Ireland. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will lead multi‑disciplinary programmes in regulated sectors such as pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, technology and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery, governance and commercial performance of a €40 m+ portfolio of capital projects and engineering programmes.
• Provide executive leadership to complex, multi‑disciplinary project teams across ROI and NI.
• Act as executive sponsor for strategic customer relationships, driving growth, retention and delivery excellence.
• Drive programme governance, delivery assurance and portfolio standardisation.
• Lead mobilisation, transition and strategic growth initiatives in regulated and GxP environments.
• Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, margin enhancement and commercial optimisation.
• Partner with business development and executive teams on market expansion and client growth.
• Champion innovation in project delivery, digital enablement and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in managing large, regulated capital‑project portfolios.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance structured project controls with pragmatic Agile delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives and strategic partners.
• Track record of mentoring and developing high‑performing project and programme teams.
• Ability to drive organisational culture of accountability, collaboration and delivery excellence.
