Qualified Senior Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Senior Auditor to join our dynamic team at Baker Tilly Ireland. You will work in an evolving environment, building trusted client relationships and delivering insights that support informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client correspondence and agree on work schedules.
• Produce planning memoranda, identify risk areas and determine efficient audit evidence gathering methods.
• Delegate, supervise and review the work of senior and junior staff, ensuring completeness before escalation to partners or managers.
• Monitor progress across the portfolio, flag potential issues, and communicate write‑offs promptly.
• Track fieldwork budgets and ensure filing deadlines (including corporation tax and Companies House) are met.
• Provide technical advice, training and performance feedback to junior staff.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients for information requests and queries.

Required profile

• Fully qualified auditor with strong experience leading audits from planning to completion.
• Newly qualified or up to one year post‑qualification experience.
• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to manage and delegate effectively.
• Client‑focused, commercially aware and strong communicator (oral and written).
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Team‑building, problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
