Quality Architect – OmniPay Modernisation

About the role

Fiserv is seeking a Quality Architect to lead programme‑level quality strategy for the OmniPay modernisation effort. You will ensure end‑to‑end transaction integrity, validate financial outcomes against the legacy platform, and coach domain teams on testing best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define testing standards, required test levels and contract‑test gates for all domain teams.
• Own cross‑domain test scenarios that cover the full transaction lifecycle across multiple processing domains.
• Identify integration risks and edge cases that span team boundaries.
• Integrate quality tooling and best practices into CI pipelines, ArgoCD GitOps workflows, and Terraform‑managed infrastructure.
• Lead performance, resilience and failover testing, including production‑scale load validation before institution cut‑overs.
• Design back‑pressure, retry and degradation behaviour testing for the event‑driven pipeline.
• Build comparison tooling and reporting to prove financial parity with the legacy system.
• Define test environment topology, provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Own synthetic data strategy and curate golden datasets for parity validation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in large‑scale payment or financial platforms.
• Proven ability to define and enforce testing standards across multiple engineering teams.
• Hands‑on expertise in building shared testing frameworks and tooling.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify integration risks and edge cases.
