Quality Engineer / Technician

About the role

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Shannon, is looking for a hands‑on Quality Engineer / Technician to join the quality team. Working closely with the Quality Manager, you will drive continuous improvement, support audits and help maintain the highest quality standards across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support internal, customer and third‑party audits, keeping the business audit‑ready.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using 8D, 5‑Why and Fishbone analysis.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects with DMAIC and Lean principles.
• Manage the calibration programme for all measurement and test equipment.
• Review and approve quality documentation and manufacturing records before product release.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Support compliance activities and maintain QMS documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or regulated production environment.
• Strong knowledge of DMAIC, 8D, 5‑Why and Fishbone problem‑solving methods.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or AS9100 quality management systems (advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills.
• Experience supporting audits and managing corrective actions.
• Machining background beneficial but not essential.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification advantageous.
