Quality Technician I

About the role

As a Quality Technician I at Freudenberg Medical Ireland, you will support the quality function for a dedicated production area, ensuring that all products meet the required standards from incoming material through final release. You will work on‑site in Spiddal, collaborating with engineering, production and suppliers to maintain high quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day quality support for the assigned area.
• Perform product inspections (incoming, in‑process, final) and first‑article inspections as required.
• Prepare and update work instructions, product routings, visual standards and engineering change orders.
• Raise and manage Non‑Conformance Reports, ensuring proper segregation and timely closure.
• Collect and analyse data such as inspection results, yield and production volumes.
• Conduct in‑process quality audits and standard‑work audits.
• Coordinate with suppliers on non‑conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Adhere to plant safety, health, environmental and energy‑conservation requirements.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and strong commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Good organizational skills for documentation and data handling.
• Willingness to follow safety, environmental and OH&S procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with product inspection and first‑article inspection processes.
• Familiarity with non‑conformance reporting and corrective‑action tracking.
• Knowledge of engineering change order preparation and document control systems.
• Basic data collection and analysis for quality metrics.
