Registered Respiratory Therapist, NICU, Nights

About the role

The Baptist Health system is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to join the NICU team at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville on a full‑time night shift. The role involves evaluating, treating and caring for patients with respiratory disorders, providing high‑quality, safe care in a Magnet™ designated hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer respiratory therapies and conduct pulmonary function tests.
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques, medication use and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

Required profile

• Current certification as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Associate degree in science preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Florida Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
