Regulatory Counsel – US Monitorships

About the role

Binance is seeking an experienced Regulatory Counsel to lead U.S. regulatory and law‑enforcement engagements. The role focuses on crypto‑related financial regulations, AML, sanctions, and securities and commodities law, ensuring the company’s compliance across its global platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal guidance on U.S. regulatory expectations, including crypto, AML, sanctions, securities and commodities laws.
• Coordinate with the Legal Department and senior management on regulatory litigation and relationships with U.S. agencies.
• Advise on responses to investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance reviews, especially concerning AML and sanctions programs.
• Communicate directly with U.S. regulatory agencies and their representatives.
• Partner with compliance, risk, and business teams to address complex, high‑impact legal matters.
• Monitor evolving U.S. regulatory developments and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Support regulatory filings, investigations, remediation efforts, and enforcement matters as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling litigation and contentious regulatory matters with U.S. financial regulators (FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OFAC, state regulators).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. AML and sanctions compliance programs.
• Deep understanding of U.S. financial products such as spot, margin, futures, and options in the crypto space.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proactive issue management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• In‑house legal experience and involvement in internal remediation efforts are a plus.
