Security Engineer III – Application Security

About the role

As a Security Engineer III in the Application Security team at JPMorgan Chase, you will design and implement security solutions that protect the firm’s software assets. You will work closely with product, platform and application owners to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and troubleshoot security solutions for internal clients.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain related algorithms.
• Utilize vulnerability scanners and other specialized tools to assess threats and prioritize remediation.
• Support and maintain production systems for internal customers.
• Lead continuity awareness, training and educational activities.
• Contribute to a culture of diversity, inclusion and respect.
• Continuously monitor the threat landscape and emerging technologies to improve processes and reduce risk.

Required profile

• Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proven background in developing security engineering solutions.
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile/CI-CD practices.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and vulnerability scanning tools.
