Senior Accounts Manager – Cork (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accounts Manager to lead a team of accountants and trainees within a growing Cork‑based accountancy and consulting practice. The role focuses on overseeing the quality of management accounts and client‑facing deliverables, ensuring accuracy before they reach the client.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and supervise a team of qualified accountants and trainees.
• Review and sign‑off management accounts and other client deliverables.
• Investigate gross‑margin variances and devise action plans to improve profitability.
• Implement and evaluate internal controls and working‑capital management processes.
• Provide full financial control services to a portfolio of clients.
• Present financial analysis and recommend operational and financial improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience preparing full sets of accounts and reviewing the work of others.
• Comfortable in client‑facing situations and presenting financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail with a natural reviewer’s eye.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
