Senior AI Software Engineer – Sensors Software

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to develop AI‑driven sensor software on embedded platforms in Cork. The role combines artificial‑intelligence integration with low‑level embedded development, ensuring high‑performance, low‑power solutions for accelerometers, gyroscopes and other sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Implement AI, sensor signal‑processing and machine‑learning algorithms on various embedded SoCs.
• Debug, verify, optimise and tune C code generated from MATLAB/Python prototypes.
• Port MATLAB‑based algorithms to C and integrate them within RTOS‑based, multi‑threaded environments.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to deploy algorithms and prototype on reference hardware.
• Document implementation flows, software architecture and performance trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in C programming and familiarity with Python and MATLAB.
• Experience with real‑time operating systems and multi‑threaded embedded software.
• Ability to balance performance, memory, power and complexity constraints.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
