Senior Architect – Lead Complex Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to lead the design and delivery of high‑profile, multi‑site projects. You will own projects from feasibility through to handover, providing technical leadership and mentoring the wider design team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and technical delivery from concept to construction and handover.
• Prepare feasibility studies, design reports, business cases and senior‑management presentations.
• Ensure projects meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Act as senior technical resource for Building Regulations, planning legislation, fire safety, accessibility and construction matters.
• Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance and maintain design standards, specifications and drawing templates.
• Mentor architects, technologists and CAD technicians.
• Manage planning applications, fire safety certificates, disability access certificates and other statutory submissions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and specialist suppliers.
• Undertake site inspections, review contractor queries and resolve construction issues.
• Support departmental strategy, resource planning and governance documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering complex architectural projects across multiple sites.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, planning legislation, fire safety and accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication skills with senior management and statutory bodies.
