Senior Audit & Part‑Qualified Accountant

About the role

Join a leading independent accountancy firm in Northern Ireland as a Senior Audit & Part‑Qualified Accountant. You will work on a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients, delivering high‑quality audit, accounting and advisory services while developing your professional expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements – plan, execute and complete audits for a range of clients.
• Supervise junior staff – review work, provide guidance and ensure compliance with audit methodology.
• Manage client relationships – act as primary contact, address queries and maintain professional rapport.
• Prepare audit documentation – draft working papers, risk assessments and completion reports.
• Identify control weaknesses – highlight issues, recommend improvements and discuss findings with management.
• Support wider advisory work – assist with due‑diligence, forensic reviews or financial analysis as required.
• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Maintain ledgers and process transactions using cloud‑based systems such as Xero or QuickBooks.
• Assist with VAT returns, corporation tax computations and personal tax support.

Required profile

• Newly qualified or part‑qualified accountant with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to high‑quality work and professional standards.
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge through exams and internal training.
