Senior Auditor – Internal Controls, SOX

About the role

Verve is seeking a Senior Auditor specialized in Internal Controls and SOX compliance to join its finance team on a 1‑year fixed‑term basis. The role will support the company’s governance framework, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust control environments across its global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and test internal controls in line with SOX and PCAOB standards.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness, document findings and prepare summary reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing required documentation and timely responses.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Legal and HR to align remediation actions and monitor risk.
• Evaluate the impact of business process changes on the control environment and recommend improvements.
• Standardize processes and controls across subsidiaries, applying best‑practice methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of audit or internal‑controls experience for mid‑level, 6+ years for senior‑level roles, preferably in a multinational setting.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with SOX or PCAOB compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, collaborative approach.
