Senior Backend Engineer – Java & Spring Boot

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to expand its Dublin engineering team. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will work on high‑visibility, business‑critical platforms that process complex financial transactions for a new major client.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Operate within a micro‑services architecture and distributed systems environment.
• Enhance system performance, reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple regions.
• Contribute to an existing production‑scale platform, not a greenfield project.

Required profile

• Strong background in core Java development and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and supporting micro‑services based systems.
• Solid understanding of backend engineering best practices.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, globally distributed team.
