Senior Building Services Engineer - Modular Data Centre Solutions

About the role

As a Senior Building Services Engineer you will lead the design and delivery of mechanical and electrical services for cutting‑edge modular data centre solutions. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from concept through detailed design, factory manufacture, testing, commissioning and site integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical and electrical building services for modular data centre modules.
• Develop engineering designs from concept to detailed design, supporting off‑site manufacturing and seamless site integration.
• Produce, review and approve calculations, schematics, layouts, technical specifications and design documentation.
• Own and maintain Descriptions of Operation (DoO), defining system functionality, control strategies, sequences, interlocks, alarms and failure responses.
• Act as the technical authority for operational narratives, supporting controls integration, factory acceptance testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with BIM, controls, manufacturing, commissioning and project delivery teams, as well as clients, consultants and equipment vendors.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in building services engineering, preferably within data centre or modular construction environments.
• Proven ability to manage the full engineering lifecycle from concept to site integration.
• Strong understanding of mission‑critical performance, resilience, sustainability and energy‑efficiency requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
