About the role
The SVPH Pharmacy team is seeking a Senior Pharmacist to join its Cancer Services. This permanent position offers flexible weekly hours (35 h/5 days or 32 h/4 days) and involves delivering specialised pharmacy care to oncology and haematology patients.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy services to cancer patients within a hospital setting.
- Oversee and perform aseptic compounding of sterile oncology medications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication therapy.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain medication safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
- MSc or Diploma in Clinical/Hospital Pharmacy or equivalent.
- At least three years of satisfactory post‑registration hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience in an aseptic compounding environment and/or as a clinical pharmacist in oncology/haematology is desirable.
