Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Workday is looking for a senior security engineer to join its Vulnerability Management team. You will drive the scaling of the company’s security program across product, technology, and business technology groups, building automation and self‑service tools that enable rapid, secure software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement strategies to expand vulnerability management coverage across global service teams.
• Develop custom tooling and automated workflows that eliminate manual bottlenecks in the vulnerability lifecycle.
• Create self‑service capabilities that let developers detect and remediate security risks autonomously.
• Modernize internal security operations using AI and agentic AI frameworks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including security architecture design.
• Proven track record conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Strong ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams.
• Experience building scalable security solutions for cloud‑native environments.
