Senior Data Engineer (Cork)

About the role

Qumulo is expanding its cloud data platform hub in Cork and is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and operate the core data warehouse and pipelines that power analytics and AI‑ready insights across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the data architecture that ingests data from Salesforce, NetSuite, M3ter, cloud hyperscalers and internal monitoring systems.
• Build and optimise the data warehouse using DBT on Redshift or Snowflake, including storage tiering, Redshift Spectrum and Lake Formation.
• Develop robust ETL pipelines and schema designs that support both retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and traditional predictive modelling.
• Create and maintain executive‑level dashboards in Tableau (or equivalent) for Sales, Customer Success, Finance and leadership.
• Lead UI/dashboard contractors, define technical requirements and ensure deliverables align with internal goals.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Business Systems, Finance and Engineering to define end‑to‑end data flows.
• Own data reliability, participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes, and guide architecture decisions for scalability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Proven ability to translate business questions into scalable data solutions.
• Experience modelling SaaS business data such as Salesforce objects or NetSuite ERP.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and ETL design.
• DBT for data transformation.
• Python for data tooling and orchestration.
• Redshift or Snowflake data warehousing platforms.
• Tableau (or equivalent) for dashboarding.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and storage optimisation techniques.
• Knowledge of data integration from Salesforce, NetSuite and other SaaS sources.
