Senior Data Scientist

About the role

Tech Mahindra is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop, and operationalise advanced AI solutions for its global clients. The role blends applied data‑science delivery with hands‑on data‑engineering to ensure robust, scalable, and secure analytics pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and monitor Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI and agentic frameworks.
• Lead end‑to‑end data‑science projects, from data exploration to production monitoring (≈80% of time).
• Provide data‑engineering enablement to build reliable data foundations (≈20% of time).
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to communicate findings and drive business impact.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience delivering ML/DL solutions end‑to‑end.
• Strong applied knowledge of ML, DL, Generative AI, and agentic approaches, including underlying mathematics.
• Proven expertise in EDA, feature engineering, offline modelling, evaluation, and data cleaning.
• Ability to present scientific results to diverse audiences.
• Experience building GenAI solutions with LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, vector databases, and agentic frameworks.
• Hands‑on Python programming and strong SQL skills across big‑data and cloud ecosystems.
• Curious, critical thinker with a hands‑on execution mindset.
