Senior DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Cloud Automation

About the role

Strategic Advisors Technology is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the CI/CD pipeline for a globally distributed team. You will work one week on‑site in Galway and three weeks remotely, delivering end‑to‑end automation from development to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines across all environments.
• Review, analyse and recommend tools and processes to improve software delivery.
• Maintain existing build processes while leading the design of their replacement.
• Coordinate release activities with Release Management, Project Management, QA and Development teams.
• Provide documentation, architectural diagrams and troubleshooting for complex release scenarios.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering, configuration management and release engineering for large‑scale enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands‑on experience with Jenkins.
• Proficiency with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and build tools (Maven, Gradle, NPM, pip).
• Experience with Git (Bitbucket, GitLab, GitHub) and artifact repositories such as Artifactory.
• Ability to script in Java, Groovy, Shell or Python and automate AWS services via SDK/CLI.
