Senior EHS Specialist

About the role

The Senior EHS Specialist will provide expert advice and support on Environmental, Health and Safety matters to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards. This is an on‑site, full‑time position based in Dublin.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for EHS, developing annual improvement plans.
• Present EHS data to business unit leaders and support risk assessments.
• Monitor legal compliance, address gaps, and maintain the EHS management system.
• Manage internal audit programmes, track actions, and resolve audit findings.
• Generate reports, analyse trends, and lead EHS initiatives.
• Conduct regular operational walks, site visits, and document findings.
• Investigate serious incidents, determine root causes, and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with enforcing authorities and participate in compliance forums.
• Oversee environmental compliance calendars and review contractor processes.

Required profile

• IOSH membership at graduate level (CMIOSH preferred).
• Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health and Safety Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in large manufacturing/fabrication settings, preferably multi‑site.
• Proven experience implementing EHS management systems and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
