Senior Field Service Operations Manager

Key responsibilities

• Champion a safety‑first culture and ensure compliance with Applied Materials and customer safety standards.
• Drive operational excellence through quality management, continuous improvement and disciplined problem solving (e.g., 8D, AAR).
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, act as the leadership interface during ramps, escalations and critical activities, and deliver performance against customer commitments.
• Manage installation, warranty and service operations, meeting revenue, margin, utilisation and cost targets while partnering with Finance on forecasting and budgeting.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers and frontline leaders, fostering a high‑performance, accountable culture.
• Partner across Operations, Sales, Finance, HR, Supply Chain and Technical Support to influence outcomes in a complex matrix organisation.
• Lead resource planning, training and execution of installations, start‑ups and service delivery to support customer demand and future growth.

Required profile

• BS degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a technical service, operations or engineering environment, preferably in the semiconductor or high‑technology sector.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in a customer‑facing setting.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience balancing customer, operational and business priorities.
• Experience managing budgets, operational metrics and performance objectives.
• Ability to navigate a complex matrix organisation and influence senior stakeholders.
