Senior Information Technology Auditor

About the role

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Senior Information Technology Auditor to join its Internal Audit team in Dublin. The role supports cyber and technology audit activities across Europe and works closely with the Senior Director, Cyber and Technology Audit.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of technology, cyber, compliance, operational and financial processes.
• Perform testing, walkthroughs and substantive procedures for the Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 program.
• Collaborate with process owners and external auditors to support control testing.
• Contribute to functional audit areas including mill/plant, operational and financial audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT audit experience.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and travel 10‑15%.

Required skills

• CISA, CISSP, CPA, CIA, CFE (or similar certifications).
• Experience with cybersecurity, data protection, SDLC, identity governance and access management.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with COSO, Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance and data analytics/visualisation.
