Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Airframe & Structures

About the role

Manna is building autonomous drone delivery systems and needs a senior engineer to lead the mechanical design of its next‑generation airframes. You will own the full product lifecycle, from concept and CAD modelling through analysis, prototyping, testing and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of structural and mechanical systems for drone platforms.
• Create and iterate CAD models, perform FEA and CFD analyses, and conduct hand calculations.
• Design airframe structures, brackets, mechanisms, enclosures and integrated systems.
• Validate designs under static, dynamic, vibration, fatigue, thermal and operational loads.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles across machined parts, sheet metal, composites, moulded and additive components.
• Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T to ensure production‑ready designs.
• Develop mechanical test plans, DVPs, test rigs, validation builds and analyse test data.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, electrical, software and test teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level mechanical engineer with hands‑on experience in aircraft or high‑performance structures.
• Strong engineering judgement, first‑principles thinking and practical design experience.
• Ability to take concepts through to production and operational deployment.
