Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its Network Engineering team. You will design, implement, and operate critical network infrastructure that supports both internal and external applications, ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and operate Cisco, Juniper, and F5 (LTM, GTM) appliances.
• Perform proactive maintenance, including code upgrades, configuration updates, and device decommissioning.
• Mitigate security vulnerabilities across network devices.
• Collaborate with automation teams to create tools for large‑scale configuration management.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Python scripts for network automation.
• Provide escalation support for network incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and work with vendors to resolve hardware/software issues.
• Drive process improvements and increase automation within the Network Engineering organization.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, DNS, HTTP and related networking protocols.
• Strong background in network automation and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network outages and work with cross‑functional teams.
