Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Intel Ireland’s advanced technology fab is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive robust, data‑driven semiconductor manufacturing on leading‑edge technology nodes. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to optimise process performance, ensure high yield and support high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve process performance within the assigned module or area.
• Support development, qualification, and transfer of new process and automation technologies into high‑volume manufacturing.
• Drive process optimisation to meet safety, quality, yield, output and cost targets.
• Apply statistical analysis, data analytics and structured problem‑solving to identify root causes and reduce variability.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex process issues in partnership with equipment, manufacturing, quality and module engineering teams.
• Drive defect reduction, yield improvement and process matching across tools and work centres.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and cross‑site teams to implement improvements and share best practices.
• Partner with manufacturing and equipment engineering to enhance tool performance, process stability and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to automation solutions that improve process control and productivity.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related high‑technology environment.
• Hands‑on experience in at least one of: deposition, lithography, etching, ion implantation, annealing or chemical mechanical planarisation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Experience in process troubleshooting, process control and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across engineering and operations teams.
• Demonstrated focus on safety, quality and operational excellence.
