Senior Project Manager – Large Construction Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a prestigious, large‑scale construction project for one of Ireland’s most reputable main contractors. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the site, ensuring quality, safety, and budgetary targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project in line with company policies, procedures and Building Regulations.
• Chair and co‑ordinate site meetings with the design team and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and good building practice.
• Monitor construction quality, workmanship and materials.
• Provide expert advice on project management and decision‑making.
• Track progress against the programme and deliver the project on schedule.
• Control costs to keep the project within budget.
• Work with the Health & Safety department to exceed safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree qualified (preferred) with at least 7 years of project management experience on main‑contractor sites in Ireland or the UK.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Confident decision‑maker with solid commercial awareness.

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Project (or similar planning software)
• Asta (or comparable construction planning tools)
