About the role

PayPal’s Fraud Science & Intelligence team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and optimise the SQL pipelines that power the fraud feature store and account linking intelligence systems. You will work on production‑grade data transformations in BigQuery, manage job scheduling and orchestration, and drive performance improvements to lower runtime costs.

Key responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain SQL pipelines for fraud feature storage.
Develop production‑grade data transformation jobs in Google BigQuery.
Manage job scheduling and orchestration to ensure reliable data processing.
Identify and implement performance enhancements to reduce execution time and cost.

Required profile

Senior‑level software engineer with a focus on data engineering.
Experience working on large‑scale fraud detection or risk intelligence platforms.
