Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive complex technical initiatives and shape the architecture of high‑performing, secure platforms. You will work across backend, frontend and cloud layers to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of end‑to‑end software solutions spanning backend, frontend and cloud services.
• Improve architecture for scalability, resilience, maintainability and performance.
• Investigate critical incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges across systems and services.
• Mentor engineers on coding standards, problem‑solving and professional growth.
• Participate in design reviews and guide long‑term engineering decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to boost delivery efficiency.
• Partner with product, design, QA and operations to ensure successful feature delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, including senior or lead roles.
• Strong backend expertise in Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Proven experience building APIs, data models and scalable distributed systems.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience deploying cloud‑native or serverless applications on AWS.
• Track record delivering CI/CD pipelines and supporting modern cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to design secure, maintainable, high‑performance architectures.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and working closely with business stakeholders.
