Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation in Galway to find a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining end‑to‑end web applications that support critical banking and investment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive front‑end components with React, TypeScript and Angular.
• Collaborate with product owners and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing and continuous integration.
• Participate in performance tuning and troubleshooting of production systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer in a financial or related domain.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming principles.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
