Senior Software Engineer – Java & Cloud Microservices

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join the Cyber and Intelligence program, building software that prevents fraud and leverages cutting‑edge technologies. You will work within an Agile development team delivering high‑volume, mission‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications using Spring Boot, Angular and micro‑services architecture.
• Collaborate with Business/Systems Analysts and Quality Engineers in a behavior‑driven development environment.
• Integrate and optimise data storage solutions such as Hadoop, Snowflake and MongoDB.
• Implement cloud‑native microservices on AWS or Azure platforms.
• Utilise CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, Chef and Cruise Control.
• Monitor code quality and coverage using Sonar and enforce best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience on large production systems with high transaction volumes.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and proactive problem prevention.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working with minimal direction.
