Senior Software Engineer – Python & AWS

About the role

Creditsafe is building a greenfield Consumer Bureau platform in the United Kingdom. As a Senior Software Engineer you will design and enhance data ingestion, orchestration, transformation and deployment layers, delivering batch and near‑real‑time services via APIs and backend processes.

Key responsibilities

• Make cross‑team technical decisions in partnership with engineering, product and data analytics teams.
• Ensure reliability, performance, cost efficiency and security of your domain; participate in incident post‑mortems.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for design reviews, API contracts, testing and operability.
• Write production‑ready code, prototype high‑risk components and provide reference implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers and help grow future senior talent.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep experience building and operating production systems in Python on AWS.
• Proven ability to work on large‑scale data pipelines processing hundreds of gigabytes daily.
