Senior Solutions Architect – AWS

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join a leading AWS Premier Tier Services Partner in Ireland. This hybrid role blends pre‑sales architecture, hands‑on project delivery, and ongoing customer engagement, allowing you to work directly with AWS and enterprise clients on complex cloud transformations.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable, and commercially viable AWS cloud solutions.
• Lead technical delivery of cloud migration, modernization, and transformation projects.
• Collaborate with AWS account teams on strategy, solution design, and project execution.
• Support pre‑sales activities including discovery sessions, technical workshops, and proposal development.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating business requirements into detailed cloud architectures and delivery plans.
• Present solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle and help develop cloud standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
• Work closely with engineering, delivery, sales, and account management teams.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience designing and delivering AWS solutions.
• Previous role as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, or Senior AWS Consultant.
• Excellent customer‑facing and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven track record delivering cloud migration, modernization, or transformation projects.
• Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops.
• Experience supporting pre‑sales engagements and creating technical proposals.
• Deep understanding of AWS architecture principles, security, networking, governance, and cloud‑native services.
• Capability to balance technical design, commercial requirements, and customer objectives.
